‘King’ Arthur was my neighbour and best buddy in our complex. I don’t recall our first words; but I’m 90% sure he probably used one of his favourite greetings, ‘How you doing today?’, in his friendly and outgoing way. I do remember telling him that I’d call him King Arthur so that I wouldn’t forget his name. Thereafter, he would greet me with a laughing, ‘Yes Mam’, and we would laugh and talk and complain, mostly me :-), about the issues of the day.
Arthur was a good, easy-going soul. He’s gone but never forgotten. He rests in peace so peace be to all his family and friends.
On Nov 6, I had planned to visit Arthur and play Mr. Vagas, I am Blessed but didn’t get the chance. I thought the song suited him perfectly so it made me smile and feel better. I hope it makes you smile and feel blessed. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ryZHhrFUsy8
