Leonard Bassaragh (1942–2025)

Leonard Bassaragh, aged 83, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born on April 29, 1942, in Jamaica, West Indies, Leonard was the epitome of hard work, dedication, and love.

As a skilled welder, Leonard spent over 60 years perfecting his craft. He took immense pride in his work and was a mentor to many young apprentices. In his free time, Leonard was an avid outdoorsman, and found joy in fishing, camping and exploring the beauty of nature. As a devoted Seventh-Day Adventist, he also spent many years in volunteer service. Beyond this, Leonard was a devoted husband to Maria for over 50 years, a loving father to Courtney, David, Christopher, and Laura, a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Leonard’s legacy is one of integrity, resilience, and love. His family invites all who knew him to a funeral service on Sept 14, 2025, at Kingsview Village SDA Church in Etobicoke. In honor of Leonard’s life, the family asks that you share a moment of kindness with someone in need.
