He truly was a kind-hearted, caring and understanding man. He will truly be missed as I remember crossing paths with him at my place of work and sharing in several brief but deep conversations spiritually, and about being strong and not letting the things of this world get you down. He was truly like a father to me and I will miss his dearly. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. Sleep in Peace Mr. Powell.

My sincerest condolences to George's family and close friends. I work for Brampton Caledon Community Living and would often bump into George when he was at head office. He was bigger than life ! " How you doing my Brother " Life treating you well ? We'd share a laugh, a joke and make plans to go to Jamaica, George would show me the real Jamaica ! Rum and all ! I have missed not seeing his smiling face, or hearing his booming voice, God rest you George, hopefully we'll meet again and hopefully in Jamaica ! Rob Brownlee

I met George 16 years ago. It was at a time in my life when I needed a father figure and he most definitely didn't disappoint. He had a great personality and had you laughing like an idiot. He was a ladies man and had charm and charisma like no other. No more calls back and forth between us and I really miss that. I really miss him. Gone too soon.

I have known George for over 20 years. He was a sincere and very good friend. George had a great sense of humor which just comes naturally. He could have you laughing your head off before you know it. when you talk about kindness, that's George. He would give you the shirt off his back. George word was his bond, just sincere. I had the opportunity through work to be on a cruise with George and also spending time on a resort in jamaican. It was a blast. Papi George your friend willie will truly miss your good cooking, someone to confide in and also chit-chat. No more wil wil where are you. My friend, God has called you home to rest. May your soul rest in the love and peace of God until we meet again. Love you Papi.
