Obituary of Frederick Augustus Morgan
Sunrise: June 18, 1950 - Sunset: January 21, 2022
Frederick Morgan was born June 18th 1950, in Mandeville, Manchester Jamaica to James and Rosa Morgan. He was the last of his siblings Sonny, Wilbert, Uriah, Sue, Easton (Horatio), Patsy, and Pam.
He met and married his loving and devoted wife Rowena in Jamaica, and then later came to Canada where they had four children Leon, Roxanne, Frederick and Nicole. Together they raised their children in Toronto before re-locating to Rexdale where they planted their roots with their family home.
Fred was a big sports fan, and he spent his time taking part in dominoes tournaments.
He devoted a lot of time working in the community at Elmbank Community Centre helping to maintain a place where people could go to have fun, meet new people, dance, fundraise and compete in competitions. He also served on the Advisory Board of the City of Toronto Parks & Rec.
Fred led a full life, was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He passed away January 21st 2022 and is pre-deceased by his daughter Nicole. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him!
The Morgan family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of bereavement. Given the current restrictions, service for Frederick will be by invitation and for immediate family members.
