Obituary of Leanora Bookal

(Jan 14^th, 1942 ~ August 30^th, 2022)

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Leanora Bookal (nee Green) in her 80^th year at Mississauga Trillium Hospital after a sudden illness. Beloved mother of Marlene Levy and Andrew and Katharine Brown, cherished grandmother of Myles, Sylas, Julius, and Alysse. Loving wife of the late Dudley Bookal (2021). Adored by her late Mother Margaret Swearing (1995) and predeceased by her loving brothers Gladstone Green and Octeavous “Moxsu” Green and sister Glenda “Jean” Kelly. Left to mourn the loss is her dear twin sister Vashti “Bea” Green along with sisters Lena Williams, Venecia Randall and Eleanor Hazel. Special Aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Jamaica and England. 

Leanora was a valued employee of The Comfort Inn on Dixie for over 35 years where she made lifelong friendships and took pride in her dedication to service. She was a faithful servant of God and devoted member of the Praise Cathedral Worship Centre.

Leanora will be dearly missed by all who knew her and remembered for her kindness, warmth, courage and devotion.
