I was so sorry to hear of Maxwell's passing. He and I worked together at Postmedia. We got along so easily, thanks to our mutual taste in music, and having kids the same age. He was such a star and his light will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to The family for the loss of a good soul, Father, Husband and friend. Although we have lost touch over the years he was someone who I remember to be kind and helpful and amazing family oriented man. My prayers go out to all who knew him well as he transitions to a higher power.

Words cannot express how truly saddened my son Trent and I were to learn of Maxwell’s passing. Myles has been my son Trent’s best friend since kindergarten and Maxwell always included Trent in activities, sleepovers, family outings..the list goes on. I remember coming by this past Summer and after taking Myles and Trent to play basketball and we must have talked for three hours about a whole bunch of things, especially the FIFA party he wanted to host. He was that type of person. Always lively, full of conversation, ideas, thoughtful, kind words and lots of advice. He was a great listener too! Just an all around great person. He always made Trent feel like a part of the family and Trent looked up to Maxwell a great deal. Vanessa, Myles and Nyomi, our deepest and most heartfelt condolences on the passing of your husband and father. He was a caring and loving person and his to Maxwell’s mother, siblings and extended family on the passing of your son and brother. I pray for the Lord’s comfort for you all at this most difficult time. Maxwell, you will be dearly missed. May your soul be at rest and in eternal peace, my friend.
Natalie and Trent

I'm so sorry to hear of Max's passing. He was a brother to me for years when I lived in Toronto. Afterwards we fell out of touch as I left Toronto to live in LA. He is someone who helped shape me into who I am today, and someone I think about often regardless of distance and not speaking for while.
We use to beatbox, write rhymes, make beats and then eventually make visuals on the Amiga. He was an exceptional talent and an amazing human being. My heartfelt condolences to his family, Vanessa, Nyomi and Myles.
With much love,
Nordin, Claudette, Yasmina and Freesia Rahhali.

GONE BUT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
From our thoughts to our memories,
From our days to our nights.
From the east to the west,
We speak in our dreams, but don't say a word.
Life means everything, even to a little bird.
From the sadness we shed when you went away,
But in our hearts and minds you will forever stay.
We close our eyes to see your face,
Suddenly we feel a warm embrace,
With a smile so wide,
It brings tears to our eyes.
As tears roll down our face,
We know you're in a better place.
R.I.P. MAXI you mean everything to us.
