Obituary of Norma Muir Williams
Norma Muir Williams, 81, passed peacefully at her home in Etobicoke, Ontario, on October 26, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.
Norma was born on October 3, 1941 in Portland, Jamaica and subsequently migrated to Canada where she continued to raise her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who lived life to the fullest.
She was a member of Thistletown Baptist Church and the Jamaican Canadian Association. A philanthropist at heart, she has actively and happily supported numerous social initiatives over the years.
Norma will be remembered as being kind, warm and loving, with a vibrant and infectious spirit and an undeniable love for family, friends and people in general. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals, which she willingly shared with others. Her friends and church community were often beneficiaries of her sumptuous sweet potato puddings and rum cakes.
She is survived by her children Colin, Charmaine, Heather and Dwight, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
