To my dearest niece Joan and family sending you all our prayers on this happy but sad occasion. My sister Daphne was five years older than myself and the oldest child of 10. In my 61 years since leaving Jamaica I had met my sister on two previous occasions. My sister was the quietest of all the children, she always had a smile and a hug and always advised us to behave ourselves when we were away from home. In our last conversation we were joking about which of us would be travelling next to visit each other. I now find myself reminiscing on times when we were kids and all the fun we had when we were growing up and wishing we had met more often. We pray today's service goes well and we send our love from all of us here in Rugby, London UK. RIEP Sister Daphne. XX (from Sister Joyce Carter Nee Williams).

My condolences to Joan and family. Miss Daphne was like a sister to my mom, she was family. It hurts my mom and I that we didn't get to see her lately, before she passed. She was a lovely person and we will missed her coming over to spend time with us. We loved her and she will be greatly missed. I know that you are in heaven looking down at us. R.I. P.
