RIP woman of God, you helped me to become a confident musician with her kind encouraging words and smile. We became family every Saturday for years we practiced. All the shows we did the big events and the small events. We are gonna miss you

Am lost for words,.... But it's hard not to write,...Shelly thank you for being a part of my life for the 12 years I know you, being apart of the formerly Living Praisers Gospel Group, you instilled so much in me and it is helping me now being a praise and worship leader. Thank you, I know you are resting in your Saviors arm, I truly miss you. Condolences to Roan and your family, this is a hard pill to swallow, But "thou who knowest".

Words cannot express how special you were to me and my family. You were not just my cousin, but as we would say “my twin” as our primitive years were spent together.
We could call on each other at any point knowing we could have meaningful conversations, laughs, tears and sound advice.
There was never a birthday, a Mother’s Day or any other special memory you forgot. You made sure no important event was missed, as you celebrated life. So even though you are gone, we now share your memories and celebrate the good life you lived.
You would always go out of your way to ensure others felt loved, appreciated and accepted.
We would share plans for the future, dreams and aspirations as well as making sure all our family members were cared for.
Who everyone saw, was the real you, you had no fear in letting others see how genuine you were and you remained passionate about what you got involved in.
Your love was big enough for all of us and in return, many loved you. My beautiful soul cousin.
I will always miss you, but I am reassured knowing you are safe in the arms of Jesus. Telling Him about all of us left here on earth. I have to smile about the fact you are probably looking at strategies about how to advocate on our behalf.
You loved unconditionally and you were so accepting and open and God saw it fit, to take you when He did. I’m so proud to have had you in my life my younger, ambitious cousin. I have all the happy memories and that will never fade away.

It had been such a pleasure knowing Shelly from birth to adulthood. She and her sister would normally go home with us after Sunday morning service and we return to night service. I have watched her bloom into a beautiful young lady, quite talented and gifted, utilizing such for the kingdom of God. She displayed a pleasant, warm, aggregate, likable and gratifying personality, quite contagious, and passionate in service for her Master. May we emulate this passion and sure enough see her again. She had finished her course and now singing with the angels. I pray God's perfect peace for her family in this challenging time. God's strength works best in weakness.

[6/25, 9:37 PM] Sis Nation Pitter: Rev 14 verse 13 Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord; from henceforth. Yea. saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labour's and their works do follow them; Shelly Ann Malcolm - Phillips, daughter of Min. Dalton and Avis Malcolm and wife of Bro Rohan Phillips. I have known her throughout her time at Jamaica Evangelistic Centre and later Faith Assembly Ministry through Sunday school Dept. and her involvement in other departments. Shelly was an outstanding member of the Marching band and it was a delight to see her talent with the musical instruments on display. To her family we wish and pray that the sustaining grace of God will uphold you and give you peace. On behalf of my family I extend our condolences. Rest In peace my sister. We will meet again.

I have known Shelly all my life. Her father was my god-father hence, she was my god-sister. I can clearly remember my childhood years when she was a student at Bishop Gibson High School and she would visit my home along with her father and sister. I was always greeted with a bright smile and she would say "Lisa, yuh alright?" I would smile as well and say "yes I am fine."
Years later, we were both on the FAMII youth choir and praise and worship team where we'd sing to the glory of God. Shelly was very passionate about ministering and she did so with all her heart. She loved her family and friends very much and they knew this. The last time I spoke to Shelly was a few months ago when she visited Jamaica and we met at church but was heartbroken on the morning of my birthday to learn of her passing. I will always remember the very charismatic and loving person she was and will forever keep our memories close to my heart. I love and miss you Shelly.
