Sincere condolences to the Shaw family. If I could have been I would have been right there to lend support. Soon come. Praying for strength today and beyond. The loss of a patriarch such as Mr. Shaw leaves a void that you cannot negotiate because the loss is so deep. Only time will ease the pain and we have to give time time . In the interim know that God is with you, lean on him for the comfort and peace during this time only he can provide. Know though as a family you will be bolstered by the prayers of those who love you.

Immediately upon becoming aware of Mr. Shaw’s passing, I reminisced on the many times he saved my life! Many late nights he woke up and took me to the hospital so that I could breathe again! I wish I could return the favor. Nevertheless, I know that as he looks down from heaven, that he is super proud/excited to see how I have extended his consistent demonstration of unselfishness, love, and generosity to those within my sphere of influence!
I am forever grateful!
Sincere condolences to Mrs. Shaw and the entire Shaw family.
You are all in my prayers.
Love you all!

I have been wanting to write a tribute in honour of Dada since the sad news of his passing reached my ear. Actually, I couldn't bring myself to doing so, because I tried to convince myself that it wasn't true. I had spoken to him just a day and a half prior and he was so filled with hope and happiness. I was confident that he was on the mend because he told me so "Anne, I feel so much better than before. I am eating again and moving around. I just feel good and I am just trusting the Lord."
Today, I write because the reality has finally hit me. Here I am traveling to Canada to pay my last respect to a man I've come to love and respect for over three decades.
Dada has epitomized love (which was evidenced in the close relationship he shared with Mommy, his family and other relatives), wisdom and kindness to me ever since we met. He was my father-in-law but actually felt like my father. He was so supportive of the decisions I made and gave unselfishly of himself. He loved my two daughters and was always happy to have them around him. Yes, they loved their granddad too. He was overjoyed earlier this year to meet my little "Sweet Pea" his only great grandchild, and spoke much about her interactions with him during her visit.
I last saw Dada almost four years ago in Jamaica. Not only was he in attendance at Ray-Anne's wedding, but he found the time to visit us at home, as well as other interactions we had while he was in Jamaica.
Dada, for certain, I will miss our telephone conversations, I will miss hearing about the domino games you played with Mommy. I will miss your laughter and your sound advice. I will miss knowing that you're just a phone call away. I am comforted by the knowledge that you accepted the Lord and that you're looking for the "Blessed Hope". Yes, I believe wholeheartedly, that you will rise in the first ressurection and I look forward with great anticipation to reconnecting with you again. .The Gentle Giant needs rest too. Rest well Dada. Jesus, the Great Life-giver, will soon sound your wake-up call.
Lovingly submitted by Anne Weatherly Shaw

Words cannot adequately express the pain and sorrow that you are feeling at this time, but please know that you are in our prayers and that you are never alone in your grief. In Deut 31:6, He promised that He will be you, and that He will not fail you, nor forsake you. He not only promised not to forsake you, but he will also comfort you. As you navigate through this sad and mournful journey, be comforted knowing that Mr. Shaw have fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Therefore, there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to him on that Day..(2 Tim 4:7-8).
We pray that in this time of loss, you will feel God’s love much more, and that you will find your comfort in the presence of the Lord. We pray God pours upon you, his sweet, amazing grace and overflow your hearts with peace.
Sleep in peace Mr. Shaw!

My sincere condolence; Mr. Shaw, my give away father was simply a caring, welcoming, pleasing and gracious soul. His legacy, his family, his sons and his wife reflect the father, husband and man he was and I was a beneficiary of his graciousness for which i will always cherish. Rest in paradise Mr. Shaw and thank you for standing in as my father for my special day.
