My beautiful grandmother. I remember all the fun times we had together and the one time u scolded me (with words obviously) lol. I was always ecstatic knowing u were coming to Jamaica soon, all the goodies we'd receive and the money u would fold up and put in our hand and say "buy something nice". If it's one thing you always made sure ur one child and her kids were good. And for that I am forever grateful. I am so happy I have your name and I had the pleasure of having the world's best grandma. I'll love you forever and always. Say hi to mom for me. Sleep on in peace Mama.

I’m writing this tribute with such a heavy heart, I’m still in disbelief that you’re no longer here with us mama, I’m so grateful to have known you, you’ve always brightened up the room with your lush smile and your wonderful voice, I will forever cherish those moments we spend together and memories of our laughter’s and jokes that you made each time we are alone together. You are the best mother-law, grandmother, mother anyone can ever ask for. You will be surely missed. Gone but will never forgotten. S.I.P Mama.

Aunty Sylvie, I was so nervous to meet you for the first time. When I met you got to know you, I asked myself why was I so nervous? Your beautiful heart and your great sense of humour captivated me. I never liked wearing too much clothes, especially in the winter months, your favourite line to me was “achoo” I didn’t know what you meant until I asked you why you kept doing that. Your response was if I don’t cover up my coochie will start to sneeze. You always made sure I was comfortable in my new environment, you prayed for me. You’ve encouraged me, you love the Lord with everything in you. Thank you aunty Sylvie for your love and care. Thank you for allowing my dad the opportunity to stay in this country. SIHP my darling aunty. Your presence in our lives will be missed but our memories of you will live in our hearts ❤️

My great grandmother was an amazing woman. She made so much scarified to make sure her family was good! She is so inspiring. She loved us all unconditionally and I appreciate and miss her so much. We love you mama ❤️
