As a close friend and school mate of her sister Denise, I have known Lystra since the early 60's. I have aways found her to be very pleasant and affable. Although I have known of her prolonged illness, I was shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. She is now resting in the arms of our loving Father and out of her suffering.

As a young girl living 3 houses from the Smalls, Lystra was our mentor, putting together sports events and just making sure we kids had good fun!!
My best memory is going to the bakery and getting hops bread adding condensed milk and eating the best sandwich. Thank you Lystra for the fun times.

Today, when I learnt that, as a young man, I been using Beverly’s middle name to address her, I felt like family. I was a neighbour. We parted ways but I also learnt today that she was devoted and dedicated to spiritual development. I wish to join the family in celebrating her wisdom and achievements. As she makes her way to that place that has been prepared for her, may she always be accompanied by light from the Source. May her family continue to be blessed.
