Obituary

 

February 16th, 1962-December 19th, 2023

Faithlyn Grace Anderson was born on February 16, 1962 in Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies.

While growing up Faithlyn attended May Pen Primary School and May Pen Secondary School.  She migrated to Canada and graduated from Georgian College in Ontario.  She also became an ordained Evangelist at Kingdom Impact Centre International.

Faithlyn, as she was affectionately called, was an accomplished Personal Support Worker who worked for over 20 years at the Eatonville Care Centre. She was a warm, compassionate, professional and accomplished medical caregiver who helped patients and non-patients with their daily activities.  Her sense of humanity also extended to those in the broader community where she volunteered her time at local food banks. Faithlyn was a dedicated servant of the Lord who was always there to help whether it be family, friends or even strangers.

She was an incredibly loving and caring mother to Shaenor, Shaion, and Sherika. She was a wonderful and devoted grandmother to her precious grandson, Nolan.  

She is survived by her children, grandson, many brothers and sisters, son-in-law Samuel, loving friends,  dear colleagues and beloved family.

Faithlyn had an infectious smile, was a fabulous dancer and was loved by so many. She was also an accomplished baker who was especially known for her famous and delicious rum cakes.

Sadly, Faithlyn suddenly and unexpectedly passed on December 19, 2023. She has joined her parents and other loved ones in the arms of the Lord. Faithlyn's generosity, kindness, and selflessness touched so many of us.

She will be truly missed.
