What I remember and appreciate about Tito Tony was that he did not look upon the idea of love as if it was one solid solitary object, like a football that people must fight for, which you get to touch or hold only for a short while before someone else grabs it from you. The kind of love that he embodied was love that could grow and expand and multiply, wherever he spread it. Those who were so fortunate to have entered his circle were witnesses to just how much he loved and cared for others so freely and generously. It didn’t seem to matter to him who these people were or how long he has known them. There were no rankings, no hierarchies, no fences, no walls. For him, love is not an exclusive club.
Even his definition of family is not limited to DNA or marriage. Everyone is family. The young people in church used to brighten up and smile as he greeted them affectionately with “How is my son?”.... or “How is my daughter?” He had so very many nephews, nieces, sons, daughters, cousins, parents, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Tito Tony cared wholeheartedly for the welfare of others. One time, I introduced 2 teenagers to him. They were going through a very rough time starting out a new life in Canada without any parents or relatives to guide and support them. I will never forget the sight of Tito Tony as he sat and prayed with them, his arms around their shoulders. The 2 young guys, heads still bowed, were leaning on Tito Tony’s shoulders, as he said to them, “You are my sons now.” It was such a sacred scene.
My family and I, like so many people, will always be grateful to him.

Tito Tony was one who always said not to save your best china, your best clothes for special occasions because everyday is a special gift from God.

Please accept my sincere condolences over the passing of your father.
I remember the days when we went to Tony's house, visited his office, attended the church with Emina-san, and it reminds me the sunset view of Manila Bay.

Yasu-san, Mimi, Saku & Shigeru......
We were so very sad to hear this news!
I still remember those days in Miyachi-sensei's church in Sasebo in the early 1960s, Saku-san, when your Filipino friends were persuading you to correspond with their friend in the Philippines......Tony!!!!
Everything worked out so very well......and the rest is history!
We know that life is both short and precious...... how wonderful it is, Yasu-san, that you and Tony have touched so many lives along the way
We're thinking of all of you at this time.....and will call you very soon
God bless all of you at this very special time....
Jae and Akiko

Tito Tony was an abiding presence in our lives. Whenever he visited Manila he would always take the time to see us or call us to catch up. He was very proud of his children and would update us about what was going on in their lives complete with photos back when mobile phones could not take photos. He liked to teach and he introduced us to healthy living...His stories were often inspiring and reminded us of what truly matters: our relationship with Jesus. We will miss him.

Dearest Lolo Tony,
I'm sorry it took me so long to come and visit you on Streetsville and I pray you can forgive me. You are always in my heart and I will never forget the times we've spent with you. Focusing on the thought that you will no longer suffer and that you are in God's perfect care is my only comfort. I picture you and Lola Pacing dancing up a storm in heaven and smile. I love you Lolo Tony ♡

I will never forget Tony as he was such a vital part of our ministry while we were in the Philippines. He often worked with my husband in evangelism and I will always remember the Bible studies I their home. Tony was a wonderful husband and father and a good example to all. Our children were friends with their children and often spent the night in each other's homes, Tony was proud of his wife Yasu and equally proud of his children. We were there when Josh was born and today he has become a pastor and has a lovely wife and two wonderful children. What a ablessing it will be when we gather around God's throne in heaven. Praying it will be soon. We are also praying for all of you as family and for this memorial service to bring honor and glory to God who Tony so faithfully served.

Tony was one of the most persistent men I've ever met. He refused to give into the difficulties he faced in life and moved ahead refusing to be stopped. His persistence was most encouraging to me as his pastor and he as one of my deacons. He was always concerned about the spiritual condition of those he met and those he worked with. I'll never forget the time he asked me to visit his boss at Loyola Life who was going in for surgery I downtown Manila. The doctors gave me 5 minutes to talk to him and in that time he prayed to receive Jesus as his Savior. His soul was healed but his body was not, and he died that very day. So thankful for Tony's concern.
