Obituary of Janice Andrea Nixon
Janice Nixon, born May 31st 1970, in Kingston, Jamaica, was a woman of many talents to be remembered. Migrating to Canada at a young age, she never forgot her roots and stayed truly connected to her island origins and culture. She was a seamstress, artist and poet at heart, having created many abstract works of art, while being known for her outstanding ability to write imaginative, thought-provoking, and seductive pieces which garnered Janice the nickname "Ice".
Janice had a gift of connecting with people of all walks of life, and this made her naturally welcomed and loved by the many people she crossed paths with. She dedicated countless hours volunteering coaching and mentoring male and female youth through many local organizations in the GTA. For over a decade through her profession, Janice helped young families succeed in building and nurturing healthy and thriving households.
More than this, Janice was a loving mother of one special lady to whom she devoted her life. Janice is deeply missed by her daughter, younger siblings, parents, relatives, and friends. As a highly noted individual of standards and thoughtfulness, she was a true advocate, one that could never be replaced. She remains a beacon of light in our lives, that light that shall never dim. We will always cherish our memories of Janice, holding them close to our hearts.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
