Uncle Tony,
I can't believe you are gone. I am still trying to process the fact that I won't get to see you, hug you or laugh at your jokes anymore. You always brought so much joy to our family get togethers. You took me to see "Ghost Dad" my first movie and always made spoiled us with treats when we were little. Thanks for all the wonderful memories. I love you and will continue to keep you in my heart. Rest in eternal peace until we meet again. Love Shanique

Uncle Tony, It took me some time to write this, because writing this makes it become real for me. You always used to say to me
" Tooey, if anything or anyone is bothering you make sure you tell me. You can call Jeanette or I and talk to us about anything" Well the thing that's bothering me is that you left my mom and I. The bond I have with you is very strong. Nothing and no one could ever make me think differently about you. You were a second father to me. I am forever grateful, and thankful that God made us family. I've learned many things from you, two of which are forgiveness and LOVE. We made a promise to each other and I'm keeping mine ,I'm forcing you to keep yours by keeping you alive in my heart .That is exactly where you'll be until we see each other again. You always said to me "never say goodbye, because there's no good in it." So I'll say see you later uncle Tony. I will always love you. Until then sleep in peace.
Love your niece, Latoya (Tooey)

Tony – Gone too soon!
For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away (James 4:14). How accurate the word of the Lord! One minute Tony was alive and well, and the next minute he’s gone forever. This is so incredibly surreal. Words are inadequate to describe the deep sense of loss and pain that our brother’s sudden passing has visited upon us.
We weep the loss of a terrific brother whose fond memories washes up a mixture of laughter and tears. I have spent a lifetime loving my brother who is now gone forever and it hurts. In our childhood, we were like partners in crime. I remember when grandma would make soup on Saturdays, Tony and I always devised a plan to ferret out at least one of her dumplings into the discarded noodle-soup packet and scamper away to hastily devour it. It was also Tony and I who crept under grandma’s cellar, after the cackling of the fowls, to pilfer the eggs to make our favorite snack. And, of course, it was Tony and I who harvested dried cho-cho leaves to make our version of cigarettes – Craven A had nothing on us!
But as the memories flooded in, it dawned on me that Tony and I never really had any physical fights. In fact, he was the family protector. I just have one more story to share. My sister Sonia, Tony and me all lived with our grandma in the country when we were really young kids. And on one occasion, as we were walking along a road in the country, a driver frightened us pretending to stage a kidnap. It was a really bad joke. But it was Tony the protector who spontaneously grabbed Sonia, the younger sibling but poor Tony…no soon than he was making a hasty getaway wid Sonia, di two a dem tumble dong an bruise up poor Sonia face. It’s a good thing my mom visited the following day and took Sonia to see the doctor. But our childhood days were incredibly fun and I will cherish those great memories for the rest of my life.
Goodbye Tony. You are forever in my heart.
Love,
Lola

My big brother your death has come so unexpectedly to me and even though it hurts me to the core to know that I will never see you or talk to you again in this life, I also know that our plans are not God’s plans. He obviously had bigger and better things planned for you and that is why he has taken you away from this life. My brother I only wish I had used our time together more wisely and maybe making you more of that special “man juice” that you loved so much.
I will miss the birthday calls and the “love you sis” at the end of every phone call.
You will be loved forever, you will live on in my memories and will never be forgotten.
REST IN PEACE my big brother!!
