It's never easy to let go and say a last farewell to someone who has meant much more than words can tell but it may bring some comfort and help ease your sorrow, too, to know that the warmest thoughts are there with every one of you.
May God give the family the peace that you all seek. My families hearts are with you and your family.

Fred, Elaine, Shedaine and Jamar we extend our deepest condolences to the Cummings family, especially to Jackie and Sheri. George will always be remembered as a kind hearted, unselfish man. We will be eternally grateful for the kindness he showed to our entire family, but especially to Mother. He went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and happiness. She really appreciated the thoughtful gifts he always brought her, the rides to church on Sabbath mornings and to other appointments with family members. We considered George a member of our family. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and pleasant conversations will be missed. Our prayers will continue to be that God will give your family strength through this difficult time.

George Raymond Cummings memories will forever etched in my mind. George and his family are considered my family for almost four decades. There’s never a day that we didn’t see or talk to each other. Honestly I am unable to articulate the loss I am experiencing and can’t imagine what his family is enduring. His wife Jackie.Youngest daughter Sheri and beautiful Granddaughter,Kota as he affectionately called her have lost their anchor. I am praying and I know that many others are also praying for all of you. May you experience God’s presence, hope and comfort.
I pray that all of us reading this, will be to each other as George was to so many. He was kind, reliable and made everyone felt so comfortable and appreciated.
Saying goodbye is extremely difficult but I comforted knowing that you are resting in peace.

I lived just down the street from the Cummings allowing us to became close friends by the virtue of proximity. I frequently visited Ray, Curtis and Arlene. I know all the family members but Ray, Curtis, Arlene and Mr. Cummings brings back so many fond memories. I often found myself laughing as Mr. Cummings spoke to his kids in his loving Trinidadian accent saying “boy you stupid? what kind of stupidness you doing there boy... you all playing the damn fool of yourself, you all go eat jam sandwich “two pieces of white bread jam together.” I would laugh at these hilarious sayings, as I tried to encourage Mr. Cummings to say more (LOL). Ray would say to me “Brown, stop encouraging him, he’s haunted, I think he needs a woman.” Again I would laugh and that pretty much sums up who Mr. Cummings was at a stage of his life. With all said and done Mr. Cummings was a good man but he struggled in areas of his life as many of us do. What does Mr. Cummings life teach me, can be summed up in one word “perseverance”. May we all preserve through our trials, in Jesus name, amen. RIP Mr. Cummings and may God bless the Cummings family as they gather to bury their father may they grow closer together in love and respect for each other.
Peace out, God Bless
Ryan Brown

The world has lost a truly remarkable man. George Cummings will be missed by so many. You loved so genuinely and generously. Nothing was too difficult to do for anyone who needed you. George literally gave of himself. An honest, trustworthy, kind friend to all. My entire family is grieving because George was a special family Member to each and all of us.

Our families immigrated to Canada at the same time. We spent many years between our homes in Malton and were as intertwined as two families could be. Towards the of his life, George or Mr. George was a fixture in my parents lives visiting my father in long term care until he passed and always staying in contact with my mother. He will be deeply missed by Claire, Jennifer Chad, Bernard and Carol ,
Camacho. Rest In Peace. Love to the Cummings family

I spent many weekends in the Cummings' household as a child. Some of my fondest memories include his cornbread being made at my insistence, his singing, starting his car without the key, being told to ALWAYS reverse into my parking spot in case I need to make a quick getaway, and his speed on the ramp of Hwy 401 as you come off the 427. LOL....I love him so much and will truly miss him.
