We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family.
We do not know what you are going through, but may God give you extra-strength at this present time.
Kathy was a person we loved. How could anyone not love her?
She was a person with a good sense of humour, always had a good word, a smile that she was willing to share with everyone.
She was an active member of the Seniors Club at the Malton Seventh-day Adventist Church, being present even at the last meeting before COVID shut us down in March.
Rest in peace Kathy and we will meet you on the earth made new.

I have known Sister Deans all of my life from my 1st day at Malton SDA all the way to adulthood. I last saw her about six months ago when I came for a visit and till that day she remembered this special memory of my life as child like it was yesterday. Sister Deans was the kindest and fair individual I have ever met and has played a part in molding me into the person I have become today. Thank You Sister Deans for everything. God Bless and Condolences to the Deans Family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you both and the family as you navigate through this extremely difficult time.
Beloved be encouraged and not dismayed. Sadly, it’s mom's passing that will afford the opportunity for your hearts, faith, family & friends to come together and celebrate her life and memories.

During this sorrowful time the Family Ministries Department of the Malton Seventh-day Adventist church would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the Deans' family. Sis. Deans will be sorely missed by so many. Her tender care, love, and devotion to teaching and taking care of children, are a part of her great legacy. She blessed others with the gifts bestowed to her from God, and for that we are truly grateful. We pray for the Lord's peace that passes all understanding to bring comfort and healing to her family and friends during this time and beyond.

Cousin Kathy will be missed , I will always cherish memories of her warmth , kindness and family values . She did not hesitate to welcome me and my husband when I came from Jamaica and looked her up , though I had only met her once briefly. She was happy to share info on our fathers who were brothers .
Cousin Kathy always made time to talk when I called her . Was a joy to see how she loved on the kids she fostered. Will be missed by the Morgan family . Rest in peace cousin Kathy.

To be welcomed into Kathleen’s home was to be welcomed into her heart. When you stepped through her doorway you felt like family. This is what made her such a beautiful foster parent. Her caring presence was a staple at Carpe Diem over many years. I remember going to her home and feeling washed over by her calm and nurturing nature, listening to her stories about her family (which was a term used broadly for the many many people she held in her heart) and leaving with homemade grape juice and a smile on my face. She will never be gone as her essence will live on through those of us who are lucky enough to have enjoyed knowing her.

My heart is broken thinking about the sadness that Kathleen's passing will bring to so many. She was such a ray of light, source of jokes, beacon of kindness and love for all those around her. I was a Case Manager for Kathleen for 6 years and watched her care and love several sweet children and youth no matter the challenge. She taught me how to make her veggie loaf, and we shared many stories over veggie burgers at Montana's. Its a blessing to have known sweet Kathleen and I know she will be smiling down at her family and loved ones from up above. Praying for Sheree and family. She loved you all so much!

Kathleen fostered for Carpe Diem Foster Homes for over a decade. The impact she has had on all of the children and teens she has cared for cannot be measured. She was young at heart and wise beyond her years. I can speak for everyone at Carpe Diem when I say, it has been an honor and privilege to have spend time in Kathleen's presence.
Thank you Kathleen for showing us all how love and empathy change a life, till we meet again.

She has left a lasting mark in my life, memories of jokes, a loving ear and sweet hugs. I am grateful I had the privilege to know her even though it was only for a few years.
