Hello to family of James Walcott. I want to send my sincere condolences to the family of James. I was very fond of him and last saw him a few years ago at a party for Maggie Marshall's brother. We chatted and I had not seen him since. But I have fond memories of James as a very well and soft spoken individual. Although we have not seen other very often, there was always much mutual respect when we meet. Sending blessings and love to the family. Jim Gibbons,Toronto, from Upper Carlton, st.James. Bim.

On behalf of Valice Worrell and family, we convoy our deepest and most sincere condolences to the entire Walcott family during these sad and difficult times of the passing of James, who was a friend and work colleague of mine while in Barbados at MTW.
James was someone who could be counted on to render his professional assistance to resolve any issue most immediately.
Gone but not forgotten, all his good deeds will always be cherished and lovingly remembered by all.
Rest in enternal peace James and RIG. Amen

Denise Mayers-Mahon posted a condolence

In 2017 at a birthday party in Toronto, I noticed a person that looked like a familiar “Walcott face” from Endeavour, St. James. My suspicions were eating at me, so I said to my husband, I have to go over to where he was sitting and introduce myself and to find out if I was correct. Sure enough I was. From that day until he could no longer communicate he would contact me on a daily basis to wish me a great day.
James was a great friend and I will miss our occasional chats about everyday happenings, his life as a youngster in the district and having me cracking up with stories about things he got in trouble for in the district.
May God bless and comfort the family during this very difficult time.
RIP my friend!

We met as school children. Later, my husband and he were coworkers. We lost touch and reconnected over the years, each time, joyfully as friends do. Yet he never learned to pronounce my name correctly! I will always remember his political views and his love for Barbados and his family. James would tackle any home project he set his mind to with determination - he was a true weekend warrior in household improvements. If he was your friend, you were fortunate. I will miss the phone calls and WhatApp chats about everything and anything. These last months were difficult, but James is now at peace. Rest well James
