Mrs. Lewis words cannot express how sad I am to right this note. You have always been so kind and loving to me and I just want to say thank you and I love you very much . Aunt Daphney, “my Cousin” you where one of the kindest person I have ever known. No matter what was going on you always sounded cheerful and positive and always smiling. That made you so easy to talk to and to share things with. I always felt welcome around you. Your pure heart was always open to your family, relatives and even perfect strangers. That made you one in a million, and a rear human being. I will always remember the things we had in common like our love for plants. Whenever I worked out of province I could always take my houseplants to you and you would take such good care of them they would be even healthier then when I had them .Yes even plants responded to your kind heart and loving ways! I am going to miss picking up the phone and hearing your voice, miss stopping by the house to see you and miss all the special juices you would make form the fruits you grew in your garden. So as you transcend into a better place I bid you farewell on your journey Aunty Daphney. Until I see you again. Love always, Kingsley.

I meet my Cousin Daphne 19 years ago at a surprise party my Sister had for me. It was a pleasure meeting her, she was sweet and warm, I could tell right away She was a Folkes. We had a great relationship since then, talking on the phone from time to time. In November when we spoke, I didn't know it was going to be the last time. My dear cousin Daphney 28 years ago my father introduced us, he said come and meet your cousin, I jumped to my feet cousin! I didn't know i have a cousin in Canada, my cold winter and its dreary days was over I have a FOLKES in the house. We embraced and stayed in touch. You are a delight to talk with I can hear the smile in your voice when we're on the phone, you never forget to ask about your cousin Stanny and family or about my daughter and grand children. Your love for your children, your grand children and great grands is unconditional. We spoke recently before you got sick and I received the same sweet welcome in your voice. Mother Lewis ...I can't find the words to describe my first encounter or the last. The feeling I always got when I was around you was gentleness. Strong resolve and comforting at the same time. As if you had all the answers to all the questions. I know where Tani gets it from. I'm so proud to have had chance to know you. You've passed on some great qualities and teachings to your daughters. I hope being associated with them I will learn them too. In the meantime rest assured Natalie and Tani will wear the crown you instilled in them and pass it on to their children and their children for generations and generations ever more. Rest in Paradise Mom you've done your best and the world can see it.

My heartfelt condolences to my sister-friends Natalie and Tani on the loss of your beloved mother! Auntie Daphney was an amazing woman with a beautiful soul! She was kind and caring! Anyone who encountered her would feel the warmth of the peace and love that she radiated! My heart breaks for you and your entire family! Beeeautiful soul. Miss Daphne was so caring. She had sure a light voice and such a lovely giggle/laughter. I can just hear her now.
