Obituary of Chui-Hsiang Tseng

On the morning of January 12, 2022, Chui-Hsiang Tseng, peacefully passed away at the age of 90 years old. He was surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sien-Hua. Loving father to Swayn and Susy. Proud grandfather (Gong Gong) to Jalon, Julion, Jordon, and Shadae. His fun-loving presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on. 

Chui-Hsiang was born in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. In his early years, he proudly served in the Taiwanese Air Force as a major and translator. He later migrated to the U.S. where he studied Commerce at the University of New Mexico. Upon achieving his Masters in Business Administration, he travelled to Toronto, Canada. In the years that followed, he got married and had two children he adored. Professionally, he worked for IBM and later retired with Xerox Canada, where he acquired the nickname, Hammer.  

Chui-Hsiang was an active man who loved to dance, play basketball, do Tai Chi, and walk. He also had a passion for swimming and swam every single day for over 20 years. He loved reading, gaining new knowledge and had an extraordinary collection of thousands of books. 

Chui-Hsiang always had a warm smile on his face and was friendly to all. He enjoyed sharing his lifetime experiences and stories to everyone he met. He was adored by many. His immediate and extended family, friends, and colleagues will miss him dearly! 

On behalf of the family, we would like to sincerely thank those who have contacted us to offer their condolences, prayers and kind words of support.  In addition, thank you to the healthcare workers who assisted our father, Chui-Hsiang Tseng.

Capacity limits have been reduced by 50% for indoor funeral services and visitations. 

Restrictions that will remain in place are:

1. Masks and/or face coverings are required. 
2. Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) between people.
3. COVID signage will be present at the entrance and around the facility so that guests can self-assess.
4. Contact tracing will continue.
5. 75 ppl maximum in the chapel.
6. 50% capacity in viewing suites.

Important Note:  Cemetery can restrict capacity limits as they deem necessary.  They are permitted to be stricter with numbers and we must comply.
