Marissa was my son's drama teacher at Act One. He loved being in her class and always came out smiling and laughing. Marissa could light up a room with her smile and her energy, my son and I will miss her dearly. My deepest condolences to the family, the world somehow is not as bright.

I recently became aware that Marissa Blagrove passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, back in June of this year. This news was so tragic to hear. As the owner of the Act One School of Drama, in Pickering, I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing her in both personal and professional capacities. In her six years with Act One, Marissa wore many hats: instructor, camp counsellor and later, camp director, but it was her tremendous love of drama and working with young performers, combined with her bottomless sense of humor and compassion, that I believe she will be remembered for most. It is never pleasant to comment on sad news like this, but I speak from the heart, when I say that there are many here at Act One who had the joy of working beside her or being taught (or teased) by her, who would want her to know how positively she touched their lives. The world in general, and youth-based drama specifically, lost an incredibly passionate soul when Marissa left us.

I had the privilege of working briefly with Marissa at The Song Spot. In that short time, she radiated warmth and kindness, brightening our every day. Though our acquaintance was brief, her influence on me was profound as she would spark conversation to inspire me to pursue music as a career. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to have known her. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family, close friends, and fiancée during this difficult time.

Dearest, Sweet, Beautiful Princess Marissa Rest In Eternal Peace. My sincere condolences to Carol, Maurice ,Alex, Daniel and the entire Relatives and friends, Special condolences to Marissa's fiancé. May God give you all beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. # But God. Prayers up.
