Obituary of Delphene Raphleta Anderson

Delphene Raphelta (née Hanlan) Anderson, age 76, passed away at her home in Mississauga surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 21, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on November 8, 1943 in Bounty Hall, Jamaica. The third child of five siblings for Lillian Reid: Desmond, Neville, Devon, and Madge. Delphene travelled to Manchester, England in her late teens where she met her husband Dorrel Anderson. They married March 16, 1963, they had a son Paul and together they travelled to Montreal, Canada. They then settled in Toronto where they had their second child, Donna. Delphene worked at Humber College in Toronto and retired after 42 years. Her hobbies included: baking, watching sports, and doting over her grandchildren she was so very proud of. She is survived by her son Paul, daughter-in-law Debbie, daughter Donna, grandchildren: Chanel, Aliyah, Tia, and Andre, and extended family. Delphene will be remembered as a loving, welcoming, caring, and supportive woman to all, and the matriarch of the Anderson family.
